About Bath and Wiltshire

Bath became a World Heritage Site in 1987 and has all the grandeur expected of such status. The Roman Baths and Pump Room founded in 75 A.D. are still fed by hot spring water and there is a museum displaying objects recovered from excavation work. Bath is a city of culture and history. The newly opened Jane Austen Centre is located in an elegant street where Austen once lived. Bath also has a number of theatres, museums and shopping areas.
