About Surrey

Despite its proximity to London, Surrey is one of the most wooded counties in the country. There are some wonderful views to be had from the Surrey Hills. Surrey has many impressive gardens, stately homes, museums and market towns to visit as well as 32 National Trust sites. There are interesting museums at Farnham, Dorking and Leatherhead and beautiful gardens at Painshill Park and the Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Wisley. Surrey is also famous for sport. It has many golf courses including Wentworth which plays host to numerous international competitions. The race courses at Epsom and Derby are also word famous.
