History of the hotel
The Manor House is a timber-framed, central-chimney House of Tudor origin, circa 1580.
The site of the Manor was once moated, hence today's ponds. It is believed that a much earlier house occupied the site before the present Manor was built 400 years ago. Certainly many second-hand timbers were used in its construction and these were uncovered, during restoration work.
Dogs Policy
The hotel is more than delighted to welcome friendly dogs, in certain rooms. Breed of dog must be advised at the time of booking and a maximum of one dog per room is permitted. Dogs must weigh 15kg or under. Dogs are charged at a price of £40 per dog per stay.
This charge will cover the cleaning of your room as well as a pet's basket complete with a dog bin, bags and treats in order to keep your dog entertained. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but are allowed in the lounge area.
