Dorset has some of the finest sandy beaches in the British Isles. The Dorset Downs are recognised Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty with fine country walks and picnics to be had and the coastal towns of Poole and Weymouth have fishing fleets operating out of their attractive harbours. Dorset is also part home to a World Heritage Site due to the Jurassic Coast. Dorset is largely rural with many small villages, few large towns, no cities and no motorways, which really allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle.
