Located between the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains, the hotel provides the perfect base for numerous activities.
A wide range of outdoor activities can be arranged locally, including Riding, Climbing, Canoeing, Walkling and Water Sports. With a little notice Clay Pigeon shooting can be arranged in the hotels grounds.
For the less energetic, Hay-on-Wye provides hours of browsing in it's many bookshops whilst the Elan Valley to the North of the hotel is home to rare Red Kites and provides stunning views of the local wildlife and dam complex that was constructed to provide the city of Birmingham with water.
