Disabled Access
The hotel does not have any ground floor bedrooms and access from reception, bar and lounges to the lift means negotiating eight steps. The hotel has one fully accessible room. There is level access from the Golf Bar to the lift and up to bedrooms.
There are two disabled parking spaces opposite the front door. The front entrance has no steps and is easily accessible. The cocktail bar, conservatory, all three lounges and the spa are all on the same level as reception. The public toilets, including a disabled toilet, are also on this level.
Child Policy
Many families have been coming to Budock Vean for several generations, and the local area offers a wealth of activities for children of all ages. For families wishing to dine together with children under 6 years old, dinner can be served in the conservatory or terrace. Children over the age of 6 can join their parents in the main restaurant.
Selected Signature rooms can accommodate one extra bed. Family rooms are available on request, please contact us to check suitable availability.
The grounds
With 65 acres of private grounds, Budock Vean is a haven for wildlife, and the private cove by the river is idyllic. The Budock Vean gardens are beautiful and extend to almost 32 acres, incorporating woodland and the valley gardens and ponds.
History of the hotel
Budock Vean has a rich and varied history which spans the worship of medieval saints to the popular holiday retreat of many 20th century film makers.
Dogs Policy
Dogs are accepted in selected Signature rooms, a charge of £10 per dog per night dog applies. Please contact us to check dog friendly room availability.
Complimentary bed covers are provided, and additional furniture covers and a dog mat and bowl are available on request. There is a beautiful woodland exercise area within the grounds where dogs may be exercised off the lead, and many lovely walks along the coast path to local coves and beaches just minutes away.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or in any of the lounges, but they are allowed in the Conservatory and in the lobby area, as well as on the terrace where you can enjoy al-fresco dining during the warmer months.
