Other Information
Some of the tiny local village's most beautiful old buildings are thanks to Sir William Craven, who rose from poverty to become Lord Mayor of London in 1611. He returned to his home county of Yorkshire where he used his new-found wealth to build Burnsall's school building and restore the 13th century Church of St Wilfrid.
The charming quintessential Yorksire village of Burnsall can be seen throughout the film Calendar Girls.
History of the hotel
The Fell Hotel itself was built as a gentlemen's club, but quickly evolved into a hotel. It was taken over by the Bolton Abbey Estate in 1999, and restored by the current Duchess of Devonshire.
Does The Fell Hotel allow dogs?
Dogs are welcome in all rooms, there is a charge of £20 per dog per night.
There's access to acres of off-road walks directly from the hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. There are beautiful views, woods and riverside walks – all to be explored together.
Dogs are allowed in the bar and conservatory restaurant area.
