The Elan Spa at the 5 Red Star Bovey Castle is a sanctuary tucked away from the bustle of modern life. Echoing the tranquillity and therapeutic flow of the River Bovey, the bespoke spa experiences and treatments using ESPA products have been created to relax, revive and restore the body and spirit.

Their award winning skincare range, indulgent body collection and men's essentials combine optimal levels of active ingredients – select multiple actives, fusing essential oils, marine extracts and botanicals – that work in harmony with you and your skin. Obsessive by nature, they are meticulous about every detail of every product they create, providing the very best in luxury skin care, transforming your everyday routine into a pleasurable ritual.
Pool and Gym
Housed in the Orangery, the hotel's indoor Art Deco swimming pool overlooks the sun-terrace and the River Bovey, offering stunning views for miles over Dartmoor National Park.
Bovey Castle's spa facilities also include a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The hotel gym is stocked with a full range of Precor, cardiovascular and strength equipment.
The swimming pool is open from 7.00am until 8.30pm for adults and 9.00am until 5.30pm for children (accompanied by an adult).

Leisure facilities
As you enter the hotel prepare to be wowed by the history and glamour of yesteryear, with some contemporary edges added for good measure. Enjoy the stunning Spa, indulge in the sumptuous dining experiences on offer or just wander around the beautiful grounds and gardens.
Guests at Bovey can take advantage of numerous activities offered at the resort on a complimentary basis, such as daily falconry displays on the terrace outside the Great Western Restaurant every morning at 10.00am; Daily egg collecting - meet a member of the activities team at reception at 9.00am every morning. Children can feed the chickens, as well as collecting eggs and meet the Bovey ferrets! Croquet /boules/petanque - available mid/late May until mid-September; Table tennis (on request) - available in the Dartmoor Suite (if unoccupied), a childrens play area with swings, slide and climbing frame near to the trampoline. Between the herbaceous border and the archery field there are tennis courts - Hard courts are available for use unless pre-booked for coaching or by other guests (tubes of tennis balls are available from reception at £10.00 each).
There are many more activities on offer throughout the year that are a minimal cost including cocktail making; cider or sloe gin making; hot air ballooning; fly fishing; horse riding and many many more fantastic adventures such as a 4x4 off road track.
